SUMMER CHURCH SCHEDULE
For the month of August, you are welcome to worship at MW Presbyterian at 10 am or at Wesley United at 10:30 am.
Worship at MWUC will resume on September 7th.
SUMMER OFFICE HOURS
For the month of July, the office will be opened Monday to Thursday -9:30 to 12:30.
The Office will be closed for the month of August.
Regular office hours will commence on Tuesday, September 2nd.

The JOINT NEEDS ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE (JNAC) has met three times since May. Between meetings, JNAC members continue with the painstaking task of compiling data and creating the needs assessment report. In addition to the Community and Resources Description, the JNAC report must contain a Ministry Personnel Description, including job description, skills needed and terms of employment. The Search Conference from a few years ago, and two more recent surveys, have provided the committee with much of the information it needs about what folks are looking for in our next minister. The committee will still need your help, however. A preliminary report will be published in early September. Folks will then be invited to join the members of the JNAC for a Second Hour later in September (date TBA), to discuss certain issues and give feedback. The complete report with recommendations will be presented to the Official Board, which may approve the report as presented, or request amendments or clarification. The congregation will then be asked to receive and approve the (revised) report; the date for this special congregational meeting will be announced at least two weeks in advance.
Extra Miles Concert a Huge Success
What do you get when you bring together a group of talented musicians, a benefit concert for the Extra Miles program, a class from Edinburgh School, music lovers, high tea with all the sweets, and a number of isolated seniors who have come out for the event? You have a wonderful spring afternoon!
This event was a fundraiser for our Extra Miles ministry, which recruits volunteers with isolated seniors. It was also a special outing for those seniors. It was a group of spirited musicians giving back to the community. It was children learning what a community is all about.
Thank you to everyone who made this a memorable afternoon.
